Rally for the Regent

The Reclaim the Regent group will hold a rally in Reddacliffe Place, at the top of the Queen St Mall, on Saturday, June 26, at 10.30am. Your attendance at this peaceful event will help let the Government and the owners of the building know that the current development plan, which will see the demolition of the Showcase Cinema, Elizabeth Street facade and original bar area, is unacceptable cultural vandalism.

Don't let the politicians forget

The government and the council have got this decision seriously wrong. We accept that anyone can make a mistake, but when thousands upon thousands of people call to correct you, it is time to do something.

We have to show that just because Birch, Carroll and Coyle have closed their doors, that we haven't all just thrown our hands up in the air and accepted the Regent as gone.

Things can change quickly in politics. Who expected a new Prime Minister when they started the week?

See you at the rally. Bring friends and family.

A good point. Yes, please

A good point. Yes, please everyone, attend the rally, keep sending emails and sign the epetition. Let's make a noise even Anna Bligh and Stirling Hinchliffe can hear.
